Artificial insemination
Artificial insemination is a low-complexity assisted reproduction treatment. It consists of introducing a semen sample, either from the partner or from a donor, into the woman’s uterus
IVF
In vitro fertilization is a highly complex assisted reproduction treatment. It consists of the union of the ovule with a spermatozoon in the laboratory –in vitro–, in order to obtain good quality embryos that can, after their transfer to the maternal uterus, give rise to a pregnancy.
Egg donation
Egg donation is an Assisted Reproduction treatment that offers the opportunity to have a child to patients who cannot gestate a baby by themselves. In an egg donation, an IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is performed with the peculiarity that the eggs are from a donor and the sperm are from the recipient couple. It may also be the case, in the case of women facing motherhood alone, that the sperm is also from a donor.
Scheduled intercourse
Scheduled or directed intercourse is a simple assisted reproduction technique based on ovulation control to determine the time to have sexual intercourse in search of pregnancy.
PAP
The Pap test is the most commonly used test to detect early cell changes that can lead to cervical cancer.
Colposcopy
Colposcopy is a procedure to carefully examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease.
HSC
Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows the health professional to examine the inside of a woman’s cervix and uterus.
Placement/ Removal of IUD
Productive hormonal profile
Useful to evaluate difficulties in achieving pregnancy or alterations in the menstrual rhythm, if the doctor thinks that there may be symptoms of a pituitary disease, or some ovarian disorder.
SEMINOGRAM + SPERM TRAINING
The seminogram, spermiogram or spermogram is a test that aims to assess the quality of semen. Through this study, macroscopic parameters, such as seminal volume and pH, and microscopic parameters, such as sperm morphology, mobility and concentration, are analyzed. Sperm capacitation is the final stage in sperm development where it acquires the ability to fertilize the ovocyte. This occurs after ejaculation, when the sperm come into contact with the fluids of the female genital tract.
MVA
Manual vacuum aspiration, or MVA, is a medical technique for removing the contents of the uterus through the cervix using a cannula and a large syringe. This reproductive health technology is indicated in those patients who have undergone an incomplete or missed abortion up to 12 weeks of gestation or to perform an endometrial biopsy
